Screenr – Create Instant Screencasts & Screen Recordings – Easy to Share on Twitter & YouTube
| |
We came accross Screenr recently and think it is a fab way to create great quality screencasts, so thought we would share it with you. Sign in with your Twitter account – or get one here to get one.
Screenr is absolutely FREE and super easy to use on either a PC or a Mac, then with a click:
- Send the screencast out to Twitter & publish to YouTube
- Download the screencast in MP4 format to save on your computer
- Embed the HTML on your Blog, Wiki – anywhere you can put HTML
- Play on your iPhone
Screenr gives a generous 5 minutes of recording time in which to get your message across. The option to tweet or not-to-tweet your screencast after recording is available. Sharing is made simple so why wouldn’t you? When viewed on screenr’s website Twitter retweets (RT’s) are easy and comments are tweeted out as @messages to the poster. Great viral possibilities! View the 1 minute video demo below to see Screenr in action…
A few ideas for using Screenr
- Sharing sites/tools you find useful/interesting/funny with your followers.
- Instructional/Tutorial videos (an over your shoulder view) – No more repeating yourself – make one video which can be viewed on demand.
- Collaborate on projects
- Chat along with you photo slide show – share the moment with your friends.
- Report technical problems to customer service, easier to show from you screen than explain via text.
- Teachers/Consultants – Give feedback to student/customers, so that they benefit from you expert input.
- Open any file, image, document, photo and record your screen and audio.
- Download the video in popular MP4 format to your hard drive which removes the Screenr branding, upload it to your site for a very professional look.
- After posting to YouTube, use the URL of the video to have the video as part of a slide presentation for example using another great online tool 280slides.com
